About Me

Emily Finn (she/they) is a multi-hyphenate theater artist based in Bronx, NY.  They hold a BFA in Musical Theater, with an emphasis in Directing and Contemporary Acting from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

Emily is a part of the development team and is cast as Io in the new musical, “Sanctuary" by Connor Wentworth.  “Sanctuary” is an exploration of several Greek myths centering on the story of Icarus.  She plays Io, Icarus’ hardheaded little sister, who makes the difficult journey from girlhood to womanhood after a year running through the labyrinth.

As a playwright, Emily will be holding the first reading of her first play, "In the Air", in July 2024.

Emily is passionate about theatrical advocacy. They were previously an associate producer for Samuel-Lancaster Productions, a theater company focusing on creating artistic spaces that are equitable, anti-racist, inclusive, and accessible to and for all with Sierra Lancaster.

They also founded Emily's Repertoire, a monologue and play recommendation service focusing on finding pieces for a wide range of diverse actors, specializing in pieces for trans and non-binary actors.

In her spare time Emily loves to sew, play games with her friends and partner Mike, update her letterboxd, and registers container ships and vessels?  Yeah, that one is strange to her too.
